For Karam, a 26-year-old software developer from Khartoum, the necessity to constantly learn is clear. In a fast-moving industry, 6 months of non-active learning is all you need to have your skills become outdated. For him this isn’t daunting, it’s simply the new normal. As a newcomer to Paris, in a mere two years, he learned French, new social codes, a new way of life. And even though he may be done with his university studies for now, for Karam, the world will continue to be his classroom for life.
