Yazen is from Swaida, a city in the South of Syria about 100km from Damascus. He graduated in Law from Damascus University. As part of his degree, he spent 3 months in Glasgow and Aleppo as part of a Global Xchange programme delivered by the British Council and Shabab, a Syrian NGO. Yazen volunteered with the Syrian Red Crescent and the Family Planning Association and worked for French NGO Première Urgence in Damascus until 2014.
Since his arrival in Paris in 2014, he has been completing a Masters in Humanitarian Action and NGOs at the University of Créteil.
Yazen is excited to share his diverse cultural experiences and skills while working with people from different backgrounds.
What he wants out of PLACE? To sharpen his experience, make new friendships, get out of his comfort zone and experience a unique journey. As Sourcing Coordinator and Community Animator for PLACE, this desire should be satisfied!
